Professors from the School of Mathematics of the Georgia Institute of Technology Visits XJTU
At the invitation of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Professors Jeffrey S. Geronimo and Rafael de la Llave of the School of Mathematics of the Georgia Institute of Technology visited XJTU from June 21 to June 25 and conducted a series of academic exchange activities with the teachers and students of XJTU Experimental Mathematics Class.
At the meeting, the students of the Experiment Class 2012 who will go to Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015 introduced themselves and then the two professors answered the questions from the students. Later, a few student representatives of the Experiment Class 2011 shared their results, personal experience and understanding got by studying in Georgia Institute of Technology this spring. Two professors encouraged the students to do their best to adapt to the new environment and lay a firm foundation for their own academic career by the platform of foreign exchange and study. The meeting concluded in a lively and active atmosphere.
