Science and Technology Exchange Day Activity between XJTU and the University of New South Wales was Held Successfully
On the morning of June 17, a17-member delegation led by Professor Mark Hoffman, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor Laura Poole-Warren, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Training) and Dean of Graduate Research, members from Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science and New South Innovations Co. ltd visited XJTU. Vice President Lu Tianjian met with the delegation in room 107 of the Science Hall.
Vice President Lu welcomed the delegation and gave them a brief presentation on XJTU and its history. The two sides discussed the construction of international specialized laboratories in other related fields.
Professor Hoffman said he hoped that UNSW and XJTU could build a framework for cooperation in research, and actively seek appropriate approach for joint research. Professor Poole-Warren presented the double-degree doctoral program on which the two parties are working together to develop. She said that they are cooperating to develop the relevant policies and a model for cooperation. She thought we should revise and perfect the requirements and details of the relevant programs, sign the cooperation agreement as quickly as possible and guarantee that the program would be undertaken smoothly.
