Harvard Graduate Students visit School of Management
On the morning of March 20, at the invitation of the dean of the School of Management, Professor Huang Wei, a 26-member delegation of graduate students from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, headed by Professor Steven Kelman, visited the School of Management.
The visitors met with students and faculty members of the XJTU School of Management in an open discussion on issues of mutual interest, including the education systems of China and the US, the graduate curriculum at the two schools, employment issues, cultural and economic development trends in the two countries, the monetary policy and real estate regulation and the value of young students. The witty and interesting responses of the students from the two schools brought continual applause and laughter. After the discussion, the teachers and students from the Kennedy School visited the XJTU campus.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the students from the two schools to learn about the systems, policies and cultures of their counterparts on the opposite side of the globe. It effectively extended the international view of the graduate students and enhanced the friendship between the teachers and students of the two universities.
