On the afternoon of August 24, a 25-member research class of senior Afghan public health officials visited the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU. Their visit was hosted by the Ministry of Health, and they were accompanied by Xing Gaoyan, deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Health, Yang Baoli, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shaanxi Province Health Department and Wang Ziming, the deputy director of the XJTU Medical Center.

Professor Li Zongfang, the associate director of the Second Affiliated Hospital, warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, on behalf the party and administrative leadership of the hospital. A member of the delegation, representing the Afghan Ministry then laid out the purpose of the visit, and expressed their heartfelt thanks for the warm welcome the delegation had received from the Second Affiliated Hospital.

Later, the delegates visited the infectious disease division, the ICU, and the hematological internal medicine section of the Second Affiliated Hospital, exchanging ideas with the physicians, researchers and staff whom they met in each unit.
