From February 28 to March 3, an XJTU delegation led by the Vice President Song Xiaoping visited Japan's University of Tokushima.

Vice President Song and his party were welcomed by the president of University of Tokushima Professor Susumu Kagawa. The representatives of the two universities then reviewed the history of their collaboration in the area of joint Ph.D. programs, academic exchanges and the mutual visits of professors and agreed, in the spirit of mutual benefit and win-win collaboration, to expand their cooperation in the areas of joint talent training in medicine, LED, civil engineering and electronics based on the current cooperation between the two parties in mechanical engineering, telecommunication, artificial intelligence and material physics.

On March 1, Vice President Song Xiaoping attended the double-degree program forum held by University of Tokushima.

On March 2,Vice President Song Xiaoping talked with the dean of Faculty of Engineering Professor Tokuo Ohnishi and the director of the International Education Center Professor Riichi Murakami of University of Tokushima.
