Professor Eiichi Nakamura named honorary XJTU professor and delivered a report
On the morning of September 22, Professor Eiichi Nakamura, a member of the Chemistry Department of the Tokyo University School of Science visited XJTU and was named honorary XJTU professor. The appointment ceremony was held in room 101 of the Science Hall. Vice President Song Xiaoping presented Professor Eiichi Nakamura with the appointment certificate and a school pin.
Prior to the ceremony, XJTU Vice President Song Xiaoping met with Professor Eiichi Nakamura in room 101 of the Science Hall, and gave him a brief introduction to recent developments at XJTU. He noted that Tokyo University is, together with Kyoto University, one of the top two universities in Japan. He expressed the hope that XJTU might have more exchanges and more research cooperation with Tokyo University in the future.
Following the award ceremony, Professor Eiichi Nakamura delivered a lecture entitled "Single Molecule Imaging of Organic Molecules and Reactions." Afterward, President Zheng Nanning also met with Professor Eiichi Nakamura and the two men exchanged the ideas on how XJTU and Tokyo University could further strengthen their academic exchanges and cooperation over a wide range of disciplines.
