On the afternoon of September 19, the president of GE China Mr. Mark Hutchinson and his party visited XJTU. President Zheng Nanning welcomed the delegation in room 107 of the Science Hall.

President Hutchinson described his company's plans for the new "GE Customer Innovation Center" to be located in Xi'an. Both parties said that they are committed to both broadening and deepening their mutual collaboration in a broad range of technological activities.

Before the meeting, the representatives from GE held campus recruiting meeting in the multifunctional reporting hall of the Main Building at which they discussed the company's business strategy, its priorities and its human resource plan.
