On the morning of September 1, XJTU party secretary Wang Jianhua met with a visiting delegation from Italy's Politecnico di Milano (Milan University of Technology), led by Vice Rector Giuliano Noci.

Party Secretary Wang extended a warm welcome to the visitors on behalf of XJTU. He noted that the two universities have had a successful collaboration up to now, and expressed the hope that their cooperation might be expanded in the future to include additional disciplines and programs. He then gave the visitors a brief introduction both to the history of XJTU, and to its current development plans.

Professor Noci said that his university too was interested in increasing the number of students involved in exchanges between the two institutions, as well as the number of disciplines involved, and in expanding the areas of cooperation in research. Following the meeting, the two parties exchanged gifts and posed for photographs.
