Delegation from Rutgers University (US) visits XJTU
On the morning of March 23, the dean of the School of Engineering of Rutgers University (The State University of New Jersey), Professor Thomas Farris and his party visited XJTU. Vice President Cheng Guangxu welcomed the visiting guests in room 107 of the Science Hall. After some discussion, the two parties agreed on the outlines of a cooperative program of mutual exchange between the two universities and said that they would sign more detailed exchange agreements at a later date.
Vice President Cheng Guangxu gave the visitors a brief introductory presentation to the university and laid out three frameworks for cooperation. Professor Farris then gave a short presentation about Rutgers University and said he hoped to work for the continued and rapid development of cooperation and exchange between the two universities.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited a number of schools, including the School of Energy &Power Engineering, the School of Electronic &Information Engineering and the School of Mechanical Engineering. They met with the leaders of each school and discussed possible avenues of cooperation.
